Title: American alligator GPS tracking study from May 2008 to September 2010 on Sapelo Island, Georgia
Abstract: We deployed GPS tracking units on seven adult American alligators (two females and five males), for periods ranging from 34 to 100 days from May 2008 to September 2010 on Sapelo Island, Georgia. GPS units were set to record the location of tracked alligators every 1.5 to 2 hours. GPS data were then downloaded and tracks analyzed using GIS software after recapture.
