GCE leadership at LTER Science Council meeting at Kellogg LTER
Much of your GCE leadership--Merryl, Amanda, Deepak and Steve--were at the annual LTER Science Council meeting at the Kellogg Biological Field Station in Michigan. We marvelled at how easy it is to work in agricultural systems--giant plots as big as 1 hectare each, the ground is firm underfoot, you have heavy equipment to do the hard work (they are very proud of their new $400,000 combine), the field site has electricity at all the plots--we could go on. In between workshop activities we brainstormed about the GCE-V proposal.
