Monitoring Program

The Marsh Landing rain gauge stopped recording precipitation events starting in October 2020

Please be aware that the rain gauge installed on the Marsh Landing weather station at the Sapelo ferry dock stopped recording precipitation some time in October 2020. The gauge is being removed by SINERR personnel for recalibration and will be replaced soon. Affected data sets in the GCE Data Portal have been flagged to reflect the instrumentation problem.

If your analysis requires precipitation, note that 15 minute precipitation data are available from the GCE Flux Tower a few kilometers up the Duplin River from Marsh Landing, as well as on the mainland at Hudson Creek/Meridian.
