Jack Blanton, Affiliated Investigator / Professor« Please Note: Jack Blanton is no longer active on the GCE-LTER Project so contact information may not be accurate (see the GCE Personnel page for an up-to-date list of participants) » ![]() Research Emphasis:The hypsometry (surface area as a function of depth) of a tidal creek plays an important role in temporal variations of circulation and salt transport at scales ranging from semi-diurnal to fortnightly. We plan to measure and model the hydrodynamics and salt regime of a series of tidal creeks having a variety of hypsometric curves. The model will include simulation of flooding and drying salt marshes and creek banks. We will conduct field studies to measure: Contact Information:Primary Organization: Skidaway Institute of Oceanography Mailing Address: Dr. Jackson O.
