Policies GCE LTER DEI implementation plan
Abstract - The GCE-LTER project wrote a diversity plan in 2012 that laid out broad goals for the project in terms of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). This implementation plan is a follow-up that describes what the project has already done, what specific actions we plan for the next 6 years, and what we hope to accomplish over the longer-term in the area of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for groups such as underrepresented minorities and female scientists who face barriers to participation in research. It also takes stock of our efforts to be thoughtful in our interactions with the local community and to respect the historical ties and knowledge that Native Americans, the Gullah-Geechee community, and others have with our study site. We will assess progress annually, and we welcome your input.

      GCE-LTER Diversity Plan
Abstract - The Georgia Coastal Ecosystems Long-Term Ecological Research (GCE-LTER) program is committed to sustaining and enhancing diversity within our ranks. The GCE-LTER Diversity Plan is based on and consistent with the key goals of the University of Georgia’s Diversity Plan (https://diversity.uga.edu/about/inclusive_excellence_plan/).

The overarching goal of the University of Georgia’s Diversity Plan is to sustain and enhance a learning and work environment that is diverse and inclusive, where individual differences are valued and serve as a source for collective empowerment. UGA embraces diversity in all forms at all its locations, with the goal of creating an inclusive environment where all persons of the University community are respected. Diversity includes, but is not limited to, groups defined by race, nationality, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, language, religion, disability and/or health status, gender identity/expression, veteran status, geographic origins, and socio-economic status.

Informatics Database Schemas Entity-relationship diagram for the GCE_Metabase2 Database
Abstract - This PDF file contains an annotated database schema image (entity-relationship diagram) for the refactored GCE Metadata Database (GCE_Metabase2) as implemented using SQL Server 2000. The diagram lists all tables and attributes as well as attribute data types and foreign key relationships between tables. This database is used to manage metadata for all GCE-LTER data sets as well as GCE personnel and tabular geographic information. This database can be queried on the WWW at http://gce-lter.marsci.uga.edu/public/app/data_catalog.asp.

Entity-relationship diagram for the Research Projects tables in the GCE_Submissions database
Abstract - This PDF file contains an annotated database schema image (entity-relationship diagram) for the research project management tables in the GCE Submissions Database (GCE_Submissions), as implemented using SQL Server 2000. The diagram lists all tables and attributes as well as attribute data types and foreign key relationships between tables. This database is used to manage research project information linked to personnel, publications, study sites, data sets and other resources managed in GCE databases. Registered research projects can be viewed at http://gce-lter.marsci.uga.edu/public/research/projects.asp, and also from links on GCE research question pages and data set summary pages.

This database was designed to comply with the LTER Projects Database schema (http://intranet.lternet.edu/im/project/LTERProjectDatabase), and project-eml XML documents are dynamically generated using database views and a web application.
