<title>Project Goals</title>
<para>We would like to deploy three bottom mount frames with oceanographic equipment, using the RV Spartina, that will be used to monitor the discharge, temperature and salinity characteristics at three locations along the Duplin River of Sapelo Island: Marsh Landing, Lumber landing and Hunt dock regions. Frames will be submerged in the center of the channel at the bottom at depths of ~5m. A surface buoy will mark the location of the moorings. The moorings will be left in place for approximately 6 weeks and will have a surface float as a marker. The Duplin River is part of the Sapelo Island National Estuarine Research Reserve.</para>
