Briefly describe the project goals and methodology
To test a field method for capturing and quantifying subsurface fluxes from marsh creekbanks. This method entails inserting a small diameter pipe horizontally into the creekbank for a short period of time (a tidal cycle).
Where will the project be located?
Along Dean Creek on Lighthouse Rd.
How will you provide GPS coordinates for study sites?
Research locations are not applicable to my project
What are the expected start and end dates of the project?
Start Date: 06/09/2012 End Date: 06/10/2012
How many people will access the site and at what frequency?
1 or 2 people for 2 days
Please list keywords (as many as are appropriate) that describe your project:
What equipment will be deployed in the field?
Two/Three 2-inch diameter PVC pipes
Will plants or animals be collected as part of this study?
No
What are the likely impacts of the project on the site?
2/3 small holes approximately 10 cm into the creek bank
Will the project design include boardwalks? If not, explain why not.
no
How long will impacts persist after the research is concluded?
~7 days
