Briefly describe the project goals and methodology
The goals are to 1) test a device used to collect pore water seepage from creek banks over tidal cycles and 2) quantify a flux term for this sub-surface flux. The device being tested is inserted into the creek bank over a tidal cycle.
Where will the project be located?
Approximately at 31°23'55.52"N, 81°16'55.85"W
How will you provide GPS coordinates for study sites?
I will provide a spreadsheet containing GPS coordinates for my study sites
What are the expected start and end dates of the project?
Start Date: 08/24/2012 End Date: 08/25/2012
How many people will access the site and at what frequency?
2 people for 24 hours
Please list keywords (as many as are appropriate) that describe your project:
What equipment will be deployed in the field?
a couple pieces of PVC will be inserted into the creek bank
Will plants or animals be collected as part of this study?
No
What are the likely impacts of the project on the site?
A few holes from PVC and any impacts from walking to and from the site
Will the project design include boardwalks? If not, explain why not.
No, no need for any long-term structures.
How long will impacts persist after the research is concluded?
A couple weeks.
