Creighton University Boat Transferred to GCE
On July 21, 2025, Creighton University, represented by Dr. John Schalles, donated the RV Tiny Dancer to the GCE LTER. The Tiny Dancer, a 2003 Sundance B18 Skiff, has served Dr. Schalles well over the years, facilitating inland and coastal research in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi, Maryland, Delaware, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, and Indiana.
A 2017 Mercury ELPT Command Thrust 4 stroke engine, and 2013 Magic Tilt aluminum trailer were included with the boat.
The Tiny Dancer will allow the field crew to expand operations and is a welcome addition to the GCE fleet. Many thanks to Dr. Schalles and Creighton University for graciously facilitating the transfer.
