Title GCE-LTER Broadening Participation Plan
Archive All Files / Documents / Governance / Policies
Abstract

The Georgia Coastal Ecosystems Long-Term Ecological Research (GCE-LTER) program is committed to broadening participation within our ranks. We seek to create an inclusive environment where all persons are welcome and respected.

In accordance with new NSF guidance about broadening participation (April 18, 2025, https://www.nsf.gov/updates-on-priorities), we have sunset our past GCE Diversity Plan and DEI committee.

With the GCE-V award, we have established a Broadening Participation Committee and developed a Broadening Participation Plan and BP Implementation plan. These plans will seek to ensure that GCE activities are open and available to all Americans, and that we do not prefer or exclude any individuals or groups.

The past DEI committee did not receive any direct funding, and the Broadening Participation Committee will not either.
