This PDF file contains an annotated database schema image (entity-relationship diagram) for the research project management tables in the GCE Submissions Database (GCE_Submissions), as implemented using SQL Server 2000. The diagram lists all tables and attributes as well as attribute data types and foreign key relationships between tables. This database is used to manage research project information linked to personnel, publications, study sites, data sets and other resources managed in GCE databases. Registered research projects can be viewed at http://gce-lter.marsci.uga.edu/public/research/projects.asp, and also from links on GCE research question pages and data set summary pages.

This database was designed to comply with the LTER Projects Database schema (http://intranet.lternet.edu/im/project/LTERProjectDatabase), and project-eml XML documents are dynamically generated using database views and a web application.
