Name: Altamaha River basin

Location: Georgia, USA

Description: Upper Altamaha River watershed basin, encompassing the drainages of the Oconee, Ohoopee, Ocmulgee and Little Ocmulgee Rivers.

Access Information: By land or by water from various boat ramps along the Altamaha River and major tributaries (Ownership: State of Georgia, U.S. Government, and numerous private land-holders)

Restrictions: Public access within waterways and riparian zone, but explicit permission may be required to access land adjacent to waterways

Vegetation: Juncus spp. and various freshwater riparian vegetation
