Site Description  

Name: Kenan Field

Location: Sapelo Island, Georgia, USA

Description: Kenan Field upland and marsh site on western Sapelo Island. Hydrological monitoring wells were installed at this site adjacent to Barn Creek in 1997 by Dr. Carolyn Ruppel.

Access Information: By land from Sapelo Island or by boat from the Duplin River via Barn Creek (Ownership: Georgia DNR, SINERR)

Restrictions: Access to Sapelo Island is restricted, and prior permission must be obtained from DNR or the University of Georgia Marine Institute liason. Permission of Dr. Carolyn Ruppel is required prior to sampling from installed wells.
