Description: Estuarine marsh site along the southern edge of Champney Island in the Altamaha River, approximately 20km upriver from the mouth. This site represents the transitional border of Spartina cynosuroides and Zizaniopsis miliacea distributions in the Altamaha River, and is used for plant population monitoring studies.
