NWS Climate Station at UGAMI

This climate station is located on the University of Georgia Marine Institute grounds near the main laboratory building.  Daily data from this station is transmitted to the National Weather Service and managed by the State Climate Office at the University of Georgia.  This station provides climate information for the UGAMI and GCE6 sampling areas and serves as an auxiliary source of long-term climate data for comparative studies.

operating since 1957 processed historic and recent data and plots are available on the GCE Data Portal web site and on the LTER all-site climate database (ClimDB) web site data are also available from the NOAA National Climatic Data Center
