GCE AnnouncementResearch NewsField site scouting for GCE V field efforts In advance of the first major field effort of GCE V, Amanda Spivak led a team looking for sites in the GCE domain over the March 8 weekend. The field work planned for this summer will test the hypothesis that spatial variability increases approaching a habitat transition, and will also set up long-term monitoring sites in upland forest plots. Thanks to John and Emily for working over the weekend to assist us. Georgianne Moore explained forests to the marsh scientists, and Alicia Wilson helped us think about groundwater.
