Title: Survey of grasshopper abundance in GCE LTER hammock sites and five GCE LTER study sites
Abstract: Grasshopper abundance and family diversity were investigated at fifty-five hammock sampling sites and five Georgia Coastal Ecosystems GCE LTER study sites in June-July 2007. Each hammock site had six permanent study plots which were previously laid out. The investigators started at each of these plots and walked to the closest clump of Spartina alterniflora, measuring his or her paces. Grasshopper abundance was conducted along a 10m by 2m transect and identified to family.
